Jobs
"I am concerned. My children have gone out of state seeking employment because of reasonably paying jobs."
Housing
"Housing is high priced and those who would enter can't afford until prices readjust downward."
No Call
"Please have a no-call list for people who do not want to be called at home, such as we have just set down for a family dinner."
Partisanship
"We are sick of the partisanship that goes on all over this country."
School Finance
"On property I own, property taxes for rural land are seven times higher in Vermont than in the state of Michigan. The same services are provided in Michigan, like a new school and fire protection."
"Vermont is beginning to be unaffordable for many who are long-time residents. In 2005 I moved back to Vermont from Florida. Having been born in Vermont and a former state employee, I was appalled at the high cost of property taxes. It seems that with decreasing enrollment in schools, budgets should go down, not up."
Public Financing of Campaigns
"No Vermonter should finance an individual that wants to campaign for public office. If that person is serious and has the backing of his area voters, he or she should be able to run without financial support."
Cell Phones While Driving
"Please realistically approach cell phone use. Adopt a hand-free law like New York State."
